Welcome!
St. Thecla's is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia; our ruling bishop is His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad.
With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of blessed memory, our parish was established in late 2018 and held its inaugural service on the first day of Great Lent, March 11, 2019.
Ours is a vibrant, growing parish of Orthodox Christians from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and from all walks of life, united by our shared commitment to worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; fostering a tightly-knit and family-oriented community; and sharing with the larger community of which we are a part the light and love of Christ, as handed down to us through the Holy and Apostolic Tradition of the Church.
We extend an invitation to any and all who are searching for the historical Church and who long for a deeper experience of the salvation offered in Jesus Christ. Come and see!

What is the Orthodox Church?
“The Orthodox Christian Church is evangelical, but not Protestant.
It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman.
It is not denominational, it is pre-denominational.
It has believed, taught, preserved, defended, and died for the
Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost nearly 2,000 years ago.”
